Shu is the ancient Egyptian god of air, light, and wind. 
He was responsible for maintaining the separation between the earth and sky,
often depicted holding up the body of the sky goddess Nut.

Shu was also associated with the sun's journey across the sky
and was considered a god of creation and life.
